Our Company's Growth

1992 The company moved to its present location and bought a 1,000 m2 facility.

1996-1997 The roles and responsibilities were redefined, resulting in the current structure.
1999 Bureau Veritas Q.I. certified MECALSA's Quality System according to the ISO 9001 standard.
2000 An occupational risk assessment was done on all positions at the company.
2001

The positions were evaluated and salaries were adjusted accordingly.

Quality Management became computerized.

Due to space and safety problems, the adjoining warehouse number 12 was acquired to be used as a storehouse for raw materials and finished products.

The manufacturing method was changed to manufacturing in workcells.

The management approach was changed to process management.

2002

Bureau Veritas Q.I. certified MECALSA's Quality System according to the ISO/TS-16949:1999 standard.

The company's corporate-legal structure was changed from MECALSAL to MECALSA.

2003 ERP ProWin was deployed, linking all areas by computer.
2004-2005-… The conventional machines were gradually replaced by CNC machines.
2006 A financial audit was conducted and a strategic business plan was made.
2007 BSI certified MECALSA according to the ISO/TS-16949:2002 standard.
2009 BSI certified MECALSA according to the ISO/TS-16949:2009 standard.

During this time, the working conditions have improved: labor agreements, wages, training, lighting, noise, atmosphere, protective equipment, machines, work methods, etc.

THIS IS THE PATH WE HAVE CHOSEN: TRAINING, INNOVATION IN MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY WHICH LEADS TO CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENT. THIS CULTURE HAS GRADUALLY HAD AN EFFECT ON EVERYONE WHO WORKS AT MECALSA WHO ARE ALSO AWARE THAT THIS PATH IS NEVER-ENDING BUT HAS MANY GOALS TO BE REACHED ALONG THE WAY.
